A little bit about me....
Mr. Hutchinson attended Radford University where he earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies-Elementary Education. He began his educational career with Montgomery County Public Schools where he spent six years as a classroom teacher in third and fifth grade. While serving in the classroom, Mr. Hutchinson furthered his education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Study. He joined the ACPS family in 2014 as a third grade teacher at Amelon Elementary School. In 2016, he transitioned into the position of Assistant Principal at Madison Heights Elementary School, where he has provided dedicated service to Every Child, Every Day! After serving 5 years in the role of Assistant Principal, Mr. Hutchinson became the Principal of Madison Heights on July 1, 2021.
In his free time, Mr. Hutchinson enjoys spending time with his three boys: Nolan, Everett, and Cooper. His wife, Ashley, is a Title I Reading Specialist at Amelon Elementary. He enjoys traveling with his family, and one of his favorite destinations is Topsail Island.
Mr. Hutchinson is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the students at Madison Heights Elementary School. It is a fundamental belief of his that every child can and will succeed when learning is student-centered and an environment that fosters catering to each child's unique needs is created.
